“The best thing about being a School-Based Mental Health Therapist at Sycamores is the opportunity to provide support to underserved populations and immigrants, especially since I have walked more than a mile in the shoes of the immigrant myself.“
“My experience at Sycamores prepared me for my future career by helping increase my confidence as a clinician. The agency provides thorough trainings around clients’ needs, diagnoses, and documentation software, and my supervisors stressed the importance of self-care, which helped me better my time management skills and be present in my sessions with clients.“
Whether you’re an experienced mental health
professional seeking a meaningful next step, or ready to
begin a new pathway helping others, Sycamores has a rewarding position for you.
Our Youth Specialists play an important role in Sycamores’ unique approach to care. Youth Specialists provide support to boys (11-18 years old) in our residential therapeutic program, helping them develop problem solving, coping and social skills that will help them create a better life in their school, home and community environments.
If you’re an MFT, Social Work or Professional Counseling student and are ready to grow in your behavioral health career through hands-on learning and access to experienced supervisors, our student internship program can help launch you forward.
