Sycamores is always looking for volunteers with the time and desire to give back. There are many ways to get involved. Some volunteers participate in one day projects, while others look for an ongoing role, with the opportunity to establish deep, lasting and impactful relationships.
Bring your group, school or company to help out. You can plant a garden, throw a party, fix up a cottage or participate in another rewarding project that will make a difference for those we serve.
Help distribute food to those in need at our Food Bank in Highland Park. This is an ongoing volunteer role, occurring biweekly on Mondays from 8 am to 12 pm as well as Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 12 pm. It’s a great volunteer opportunity for high school students in need of service hours!
We always need volunteer mentors, tutors and friends. We also need volunteers to help at our events.
Sycamores will provide tags that list specific wishes from children we serve. Or if you prefer, you can hold a general toy drive or collect gift cards.
Teach the children we serve a craft in-person or virtually! Examples include holiday crafts, back-to-school crafts, summer crafts and more.
Brighten life for the foster children/youth at our residential campus in Altadena by delivering a party! Examples include a pancake breakfast, cookie decorating, a taco truck, a burger truck, an ice cream party, and more.
