Sycamores Welcomes Dr. Mona Patel to Board of Directors

Dr. Mona Patel joins Sycamores Board of DirectorsWe are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mona Patel, MD, FAAP, to the Sycamores Governing Board. She brings an extensive background in pediatric healthcare leadership and a deep commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, making her a valuable addition to the Sycamores team. As Chief Integrated Delivery Systems Officer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and President of the CHLA Medical Group, Dr. Patel is a leader in advancing pediatric healthcare. She serves as an attending physician in the Department of General Pediatrics at CHLA and holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her leadership roles extend to the national level, where she is a member of the Pediatric Policy Council for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Patel’s research focuses on improving healthcare delivery through collaboration and decreasing care fragmentation to achieve optimal outcomes for pediatric patients, particularly those with complex health needs. Her dedication to advocacy and strengthening payor relations at state and federal levels ensures that families receive the financing they need for pediatric care.

Dr. Patel earned her MD from the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at CHLA. She continues to contribute significantly to pediatric healthcare through her leadership and advocacy efforts.
