Help End the Stigma Around Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Sycamores is proud to participate in the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health’s “Take Action for Mental Health LA” campaign.

Sycamores Palmdale Family Resource Center is sponsoring a series of events through May and June to highlight the importance and of mental health and wellbeing and reduce the stigma associated with seeking mental health care. They are all free and open to the public.

We have a fun and educational lineup planned. We are hosting an art contest, screenings and discussions of the movie “Angst” and a mental health first aid training session. The series wraps up with the “Walk for Mental Health Awareness and Resource Fair” June 10 at our Desert Sands Park in Palmdale.
