Out of the Darkness Walk

Sycamores is proud to sponsor and participate in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Pasadena on Saturday, November 2, 2024. This event supports suicide prevention and mental health awareness, bringing together individuals, families, and organizations to honor loved ones lost to suicide and offer hope to those still struggling.

“Too many lives are lost to suicide each year. It’s vital that people know they are not alone, and help is available,” said Debra Manners, President & CEO of Sycamores. “By raising awareness and providing support through events like the Out of the Darkness Walk, we can offer hope and ensure that no one has to face a mental health crisis without the care and compassion they deserve.”

Sycamores Mobile Crisis Outreach Team

The Sycamores Team will be led by staff from the agency’s Mobile Crisis Outreach Program, who, in partnership with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, provide in-person support to individuals experiencing a mental health emergency.

We invite our staff and community members to walk with us and stop by the Sycamores table to learn more about our services and how we can work together to break the stigma surrounding mental health. Everyone is welcome!
